Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ariana Hurtado, doing business as Womb Bloom ("Womb Bloom," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores and shares information about you when you visit www.wombbloom.org (the "Website"), use the client portal and class library at store.wombbloom.org (the "Library"), book a visit, or buy a class or guide. By using the Website, the Library or our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Womb Bloom is a small practice. Ariana works with every client herself. If you have a question about this Policy or want to use any of the rights below, email [email protected].
The short version: we collect what we need to support you and run the practice, we never sell your information, we don't use advertising trackers, and your health answers and visit notes are encrypted.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Contact information: your name, email address and phone number (phone is optional).
- Inquiry details: what you'd like help with and your message, when you use the contact or booking form.
- Visit details: the times you request, your city if you'd like in-person care, your due date or your baby's age, and notes you add to a booking.
- Health information: answers you give in the intake form before a visit. This can include how your birth went, how feeding is going, what you'd like help with, anything about your health or your baby's health you choose to share, and the names of your baby's doctor and your OB or midwife.
- Visit notes: notes Ariana writes after your visits, and documents she shares with you in your client page (such as a feeding plan).
- Class activity: the classes and guides you sign up for, which lessons you've finished, quick-check answers, and questions you send Ariana under a lesson.
- Purchase and payment information: what you bought, the amount, invoices and receipts. Card payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Email preferences: whether you said yes to emails about new classes and guides, and whether you've unsubscribed.
- Messages: emails and texts you send us, and copies of the emails the Library sends you.
Information collected automatically:
- Technical information: like any website, our hosting providers receive your IP address, browser type and device information when you load a page. We use it to deliver pages and protect the site from spam and abuse. We do not store your IP address in our client records.
- Library activity: the Library records simple events such as a class page being viewed, a free class being claimed or a checkout being started. When you're signed in, these are linked to your account so Ariana can see what you've signed up for.
- Link sources: some of our links (for example, the links in our Instagram bio) carry a tag showing where the visit came from. This tells us which links people use. It does not identify you.
We don't buy information about you from other companies, and we don't use advertising pixels, retargeting, or third-party analytics tools on the Website or the Library.
2. Your Health Information
Ariana offers education and support, not medical care. Womb Bloom isn't a medical practice and doesn't bill health insurance, so the federal health privacy law (HIPAA) generally does not apply to us. We still treat your health information as private and protect it carefully:
- We only collect health information you choose to give us, and we ask for your consent (a checkbox) before you send the intake form.
- Intake answers and visit notes are encrypted before they are saved, and stay encrypted in our backups.
- Only Ariana reads them.
- We use your health information only to prepare for and support your visits. We never use it for advertising, never sell it, and never use it to train artificial intelligence (AI) models.
- We share it with your doctor, midwife or anyone else only if you ask us to, or if the law requires it.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To answer your questions and set up your free call or visit.
- To provide visits, classes and guides, and to give you access to what you've bought.
- To process payments, send invoices and receipts, and handle refunds.
- To send service emails, such as sign-in links, booking details, lesson question answers and receipts.
- To send emails about classes, guides and offers, but only if you said yes. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link.
- To text you back, if you gave us your phone number for that.
- To improve the Website and the Library, and to keep them secure.
- To keep business and tax records and to meet our legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers that run the practice, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Stripe: payment processing for classes, guides, visits and invoices.
- Cloudflare: hosting for the Website, domain name service (DNS) and security.
- Hetzner: the secure server in the United States that runs the Library and client portal and stores its database.
- Twilio SendGrid: sends the emails from the Library (sign-in links, receipts, booking emails). Open and click tracking is turned off.
- Google Workspace: Ariana's email inbox.
- Dropbox: a private folder for nightly backups. Dropbox encrypts stored files, and health answers and visit notes stay encrypted inside the backups.
- Google Fonts: supplies the fonts on our pages. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your IP address.
- YouTube and Vimeo: some class videos play from these services. When you play one, YouTube or Vimeo receives information about your visit and may set its own cookies.
- Google Meet and Apple FaceTime: online visits take place on one of these. Their privacy policies apply to the call. Ariana never records private visits.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of you or someone else, or if the practice is ever sold or transferred (in which case we'll tell you first).
5. Cookies
The Website (www.wombbloom.org) does not set any cookies.
The Library (store.wombbloom.org) uses one cookie that is strictly necessary. It keeps you signed in (for up to 30 days) and protects forms and checkout from misuse. It isn't used for tracking or advertising. If you block it, you can still browse the Library, but you won't be able to sign in or buy.
When you watch a lesson, your browser remembers where you stopped so the video can pick up there next time. This is saved only on your device (in your browser's local storage) and is never sent to us.
Videos played from YouTube or Vimeo, and fonts loaded from Google, are governed by those companies' own policies.
6. How We Protect and Keep Your Information
All traffic to the Website and the Library is encrypted (HTTPS). You sign in to the Library with a one-time link sent to your email, so there's no password to steal. Health answers and visit notes are encrypted when they are stored. Backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted.
How long we keep things:
- Intake answers, visit notes and shared documents: while you're a client, and for 3 years after your last visit. After that we delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Inquiries from people who didn't book: up to 2 years.
- Your Library account and class progress: for as long as you have access to your classes, so you can come back to them.
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 7 years, as required by United States tax law.
- Copies of emails sent from the Library: up to 2 years.
No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable precautions, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you as the law requires.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we have information about you, and send you a copy.
- Correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information. We may need to keep payment and tax records for the time the law requires.
- Give you a copy of the information you gave us, in a format you can take elsewhere.
- Stop or limit a particular use of your information.
- Stop sending you marketing emails. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any of these emails.
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and other states have these rights under their state privacy laws. Residents of the EU and the UK have them under the GDPR and UK GDPR. We'll never treat you differently for using them.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, usually by replying from the email address we have for you. We answer within 30 days (45 days for consumer health data requests; see section 8). If we can't do what you asked, we'll tell you why.
8. Consumer Health Data
Some states, including Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, have laws about "consumer health data." This section explains how those rules apply to Womb Bloom.
- What we collect: the health information described in section 2, plus information that could suggest health, such as booking a lactation visit or buying a postpartum class.
- Where it comes from: from you, through the intake form, booking forms, the Library, emails and visits.
- Why we collect it: only to provide the support and classes you asked for, and to run the practice as described in section 3.
- Who receives it: the service providers in section 4 that store or deliver it for us (Hetzner, Dropbox, Cloudflare, Twilio SendGrid, Google Workspace and Stripe). We do not sell consumer health data and do not use it for advertising. We do not use geofencing.
- Your rights: you can ask whether we hold your consumer health data, get a list of who it was shared with, withdraw your consent, and ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] with the subject "Health Data Request". We answer within 45 days.
- Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word "Appeal". We'll reply within 45 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state's Attorney General.
9. Emails and Text Messages
Service emails (sign-in links, receipts, booking details) are part of using the Library and booking visits. Marketing emails, such as a short series after a free class, are sent only if you said yes, and every one includes an unsubscribe link. If you give us your phone number, Ariana may text you back from her own phone. Reply STOP at any time and we won't text you again.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are for parents and expecting parents who are 18 or older. The Website and the Library are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. We receive information about your baby (such as their name, age or feeding) only from you, as their parent, to support your care. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
11. Links to Other Websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as Instagram, Google (for reviews) and YouTube. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices. Reviews you leave on Google, and messages you send on Instagram, are covered by those companies' policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the Effective Date above. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we'll email current clients and students before it takes effect.
